For nature lovers this is a “must do” tour. This area has captured the imagination of people all over the world ever since Jules Verne wrote the science fiction novel “The Journey to the Centre of Earth”. The amazing Snaefellsjökull glacier is where the journey begins and the Stromboli volcano in Italy is where it ends. Lush valleys and lava fields with soft moss, abundant birdlife, diverse flora, craters and salmon rivers characterize this part of Iceland.

Experience the full scenery and cruise on the amazing Breiðafjörður bay into a world of thriving bird and marine life. From Stykkishólmur we travel along the coast passing through charming fishing villages with a stop at Djúpalónssandur and Arnarstapi before returning to Reykjavík.

The boat tour depends on weather and birdlife is limited during late summer months. Some walking is required on this excursion.
